“Design-To-Cut Is a must have tool for bidding and design. I can change or create offsets for custom inlay in the fraction of the time it used to take. Separating elements for quick bidding has enabled me to have quick turnarounds on bids without all the time and effort. Customer line art is less of a problem; I no-longer have to individually offset every element. Design-To- Cut will continue to save me Time.”

Design-To-Cut allows us to work up multiple options for our clients in a matter of minutes, giving our clients better choices, allowing them to make a selection to close the sale. The ease and simplicity of the Design-To-Cut software provides quick and powerful results that would take hours to do manually. What would that look like? Design-To-Cut allows us to see the possibilities in minutes!
From concept to design to cut in minutes. We love it! Using Design-To-Cut, we were able to increase our profits while at the same time lower our prices, allowing us to be more competitive. Design-To-Cut, it's simple, powerful and just works!"

“…My most sincere thanks for developing such a useful and time saving software as Design-To-Cut. We use is with our OMAX Layout program and it has saved me countless amounts of time.

We've purchased other software, thinking it would make laying out and adjusting customer files quicker, but every other program or add-on has ended up deemed "Eh... ok but not worth the hassle" except Design-To-Cut. I use Design-To-Cut so much that I've asked the software engineers at Omax to program a keyboard shortcut for it.

Every single time I layout a customer file to be cut, I use Design-To-Cut to give me the edge allowance needed for fixturing. Instead of taking 12 or more mouse clicks and several minutes of time, it now take about 4 mouse clicks and only a few seconds. Minutes may not seem like a long time but it is eternity when you want to get on with the real business at hand.

When I have to stencil letters, offset a series of irregular line segments and/or curves, increase the thickness of a tab, or design any kind of inlay, I use Design-To-Cut. I can take a customer's line drawing and with only a couple of mouse clicks, turn it into a clean file appropriate for waterjet cutting. After offsetting, I no longer have to delete extraneous line segments/arcs or smooth inside curves where offsetting has given me a point instead of a nice rounded curve. It follows the original. No duplicate lines, no filling gaps when offsetting outside curves, no going back and having to fillet missing corners on angular parts -- no wasted time when offsetting anything.

All I have to do is offset and I'm done. It couldn't be more simple or more effective. For giving me time to concentrate on the creative parts of setting up and adjusting customer files rather than wasting time cleaning up the minutiae left after traditional offsetting, you have my deep gratitude.”

“I've been using the Design-To-Cut software for several months now. Its offset features have become a welcome Layout extension, and a regular part of my process. It outputs very finished results, with no unconnected paths or unnecessary lines, and is quite customizable.

The one time I did have an issue with a feature not giving me the results I expected, their customer service was easy to talk to, understood the nature of my problem, and they had it figured out immediately.

I often need to nest large numbers of complex shapes into irregularly shaped material, and Design-To-Cut has taken the guesswork out of the process by creating offset boundaries set to my cut tolerances. It's pretty handy for things like inlay work and forming tools, where you often need to change the dimensions of a whole complex pattern by just a tiny bit (this used to drive me crazy). Just scaling it makes everything stretch unevenly, and before I had this extension, it took forever. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.”
